Oral appliances for sleep apnea treat a medical condition and are considered by medical insurance plans and not dental plans.  Consideration for coverage is often based on results of the sleep study showing apnea and in some cases a patient’s inability to tolerate CPAP treatment.  A short letter of necessity from the referring physician may be helpful and is recommended.Oral appliances are custom made for the individual patient; because of this all appliances must be paid in full at the time they are delivered to the patient. Our office staff will file your insurance claim for you.  Please request that your sleep lab fax us the summary page from your sleep study.  Also, enclose any letters by physicians to help you get reimbursed promptly.Financing is offered by our office through Care Credit.
